It’s time to learn sight words, learning through play was so much fun. We have been trying to find ways to make learning sight words more exciting and engaging

Teachers asked us to “DO AS YOU LIKE ” and we were so happy to do so with lots of colours.

WE LOVE TO COLOUR THIS IS THE MOST INTERESTING ACTIVITY FOR US. COLORING ACTIVITY DURING GANESH CHATURTHY CELEBRATIONS

The theme was “Fruits and Vegetables” and we were learning about different Fruits and Vegetables. Teachers made puzzles for us and asked us to Solve.  It was so much fun to solve the puzzles and giving the formation of Fruits and Vegetables.

“FRUIT SALAD DAY”

Teachers thought us the importance of having fruit and told us how to keep good health, fruit salad benefit our health and give us energy of natural vitamins.

We with our teachers prepared the salad. We, all the friends  had lots of fun sitting together and having the yummy fruit salad.

“STORY TELLING”

Story telling is important for child’s development. It is an extremely important part of childhood. STORIES enhance listening and speaking skills. Stories with puppets can be a great fun for kids.

Rainy Day

Rainy day was celebrated with full enthusiasm. The classroom environment was light and mesmerizing for the students due to the school decor. The students came to school with their umbrellas and raincoat. Thumb painting activity was conducted along with getting to know about the clothing, precautions to be taken and  different colours of rainbow.

Classes beyond four walls Pretend play  mart

Vegetable mart was put-up in the school where the students of pre-primary wing participated with great enthusiasm. The Nursery students had come dressed as different fruits and vegetables. The students of PP1 had a rhyme show and got dressed up as vegetable vendors and experienced the selling activity. Few students also participated in vegetable printing. PP2 students were busy in Best out of waste activity and were telling about the importance of Healthy food.

Literary Week

Grades 1 to 5 also celebrated “Literary week” in the month of July where children participated in various activities, competitions and writings across Language arts. Phonetic drill, reading programs, tongue twisters, poetry recitations, elocution, spell bees,  JAM, show and tell, puzzles and grammar games were all a part of the weeklong  celebration.

Freak- the Math and Science Fair

The fair helped them to break the boundaries of textual learning and exhibiting their  class learning along with their public presentation skills. The innate curiosity of the students was well depicted through the models, games and activities. Math, Science and Engineering were the human Endeavour.

THEME- (Telugu, Hindi, English, Maths and EVS)

THEME EXHIBITED STEAM

Exhibition with the kids presenting various models- English, Science or maths exhibits according to the things that they have learn in their classes. It is not enough to just tell or write what they know, but it is essential for the kids to present what they know in the best possible way.

This was the first experience for the kids to showcase their skills in speaking and in their subject competency

Math walks-

Math is a subject to be experienced and related to the real life applications. It needs to be extended beyond the four walls.

Field trips-Pre-Primary

Extension educational field trips were organized to SUPER MARKET, BIRD HOUSE, SHILPARAMAM and PARK

A session On ROAD SAFETY AND TRAFFIC RULES by  traffic police was also conducted.

Primary

The students of grades 1 to 5 went to Birla Planetarium on 2nd November,2017. There was a show on ‘How Universe was created’. They were excited to see pictures of the stars, universe, Constellations. After the show they went to the Birla Science Museum where there were many models and activities for hands to demonstrate various concepts. They also enjoyed 3D movie on Sea creatures.

In the month of January, kids experienced a trip to ‘Rashtrapati Nilayam’- a tour of the 76 acre campus having a herbal garden with 116 varieties of medicinal plants.

The students of grade 1 had a great trip to Shilparamam to know about the rich and varied heritage of India.

Health Check up

Dental checkup and eye checkup were organized for the students of Pre-primary wing by CLOVE DENTAL and SMART VISION.
