Celebrations Of 2017-18
We celebrated Father’s day to recognize the contribution that father’s make to the lives of their children. Students of preprimary made cards with their loving father and games were also conducted for the kids and fathers. While Primary classes made cards and hand-made souvenirs to their dads.
Ramzan-Generosity and benevolence
Students were dressed in Green attire, special assembly shows and sharing sweets, giving them a sense of that Sharing is caring.
Rakshabandhan- Reaffirming love and affection
Rakshabandhan was celebrated with great excitement. The celebration helped them to know the bond between brother and sister.
Janmashtami- celebrating the birth of bliss
Janmashtami was celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. The campus was beautified by our Krishnas and Radhas in the preprimary wing. The dances, Handi breaking and craft activity added colour to the knowledge.
The campaign for eco-friendly Ganesh idols made out of natural clay and seeds for Ganesh Chaturthi celebration taught students how to make clay idols of the elephant headed God and to celebrate the festival without polluting the environment.
Diwali- Victory of good over evil
Diwali was celebrated with great festive spirit. Dressed in traditional attire, story-telling session, Diya decoration, rangoli making and card making were done. Safety with crackers and emphasis on eco-friendly Diwali was emphasized to enhance the responsibility of a global citizen.
Halloween, the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. was celebrated with enthusiasm. Kids came to school dressed up in the Halloween Costume with tattoos added colour to the occasion.
Christmas- a message of love, peace and charity
Christmas was celebrated with fun n frolic with all dressed in red and white attire. Grade 1 students had put up a show for all which included a play on birth of Christ, carols and sharing about the importance of Christmas. Palm printing and Christmas tree making activities were also done. The sense of sharing was also encouraged through snack sharing activity.
Pongal- Harvest festival
Pongal was celebrated in our school on 11th January with gusto and enthusiasm. imparting the true spirit of the harvest festival, a bonfire was lit along with kite flying activity , bhogi pallu & preparation of sweet (Pongal). All the kids had danced around the bonfire on the traditional songs.
Celebrating the pride of being Indian
On 21st June 2017 we celebrated ‘International Yoga Day,’ it is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with you, the world and the nature.
Vanamahotsav- Annual tree planting movement
A bid to raise awareness about the importance of trees and encourage people to plant trees. School celebrated Van Mahotsav with a massive awareness through activities. Competitions, presentations, poetry and saplings distribution were a part of the week long celebrations.
A heartful thanks was expressed by students to their teachers who spend their time, energy and love. Moments that left the teachers teary eyed….
The teachers exhibited their love for kids similar to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister and celebrated the love that he had for all children with a host of fun filled activities like tattoo making, face painting, ramp-walk and movie time. We celebrated 14th November children’s’ day altogether.
